Acclaimed nature photographer, Thomas D. Mangelson has truly captured nature’s beauty on film. Mangelson began selling limited edition prints of birds in flight in the early 70s, and opened his first gallery in 1978, in Jackson, Wyoming. Since then, he has broadened his photograph subjects and opened up nearly a dozen more Images of Nature galleries across the US. If you’ve seen his work first hand, then I needn’t describe how breathtaking his prints are. Apart from the beauty of what’s in the photograph, the print quality is spectacular – it’s similar to HD television. What’s more is that many of the prints can be made large enough to fill the blank space of a large wall. Mangelson’s extensive photo library includes Alaskan wildernesses, African animals, fields of flowers, forests, waterfalls, birds, mountain landscapes, and more. With the right lighting, these pictures truly standout and will surely become the focal point of any room. Bespoke suit maker Gieves & Hawkes has the most famous address in the custom suit world: No. 1 Savile Row, which was originally constructed in 1732 as the townhouse of the Fairfax family. The company has been located in the 6,500+ square foot shop for more than a century, although its roots go back much further as both of the two predecessor firms, Gieves & Company and Hawkes Ltd., date back to late 18th century.
Gieves & Hawkes originally rose to prominence as a result of the custom bespoke military uniforms it provided to leading military men at a time when Great Britain was the mightiest military force on Earth. The quality and attention to detail caught the attention of King George III, who promptly ordered thousands of tailored uniforms for his soldiers. Through the military division, the tailors still provide uniforms and clothing for the nation’s armed forces and members of the royal family.

DB Fletcher Designs, located in the United Kingdom, is a bespoke furniture maker known for their high quality craftsmanship. Perhaps their most famous product, the Capstan Table has been featured in numerous design and boating publications. Don’t be fooled by the ordinary looks of the table pictured at the right. With either the push of a button or a simple manual spinning motion (your choice), the custom made, handcrafted Capstan Table by DB Fletcher magically, and quite beautifully, doubles its seating capacity in a matter of seconds.
DB Fletcher makes only a handful of Capstan Tables every year, and each one is made exclusively to fit the buyers design specifications. So don’t be surprised to see the table’s price tag (which I’ll present later). DB Fletcher can make their Capstan Tables with marble, granite, glass, exotic wood, metal, or a combination thereof. Lighting systems can also be installed. As I mentioned above, DB Fletcher can make the Capstan Table operable electronically by infrared remote or manually. From its founding in 1906, Savile Row tailor Anderson & Sheppard has risen to rank among the top bespoke tailoring firms in the world, with the 100+ year client list reading like a Who’s Who of international society. Despite its high profile, the firm takes on new clients with or without appointment between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from its Savile Row shop.
The process of creating bespoke suits and a custom wardrobe from Anderson & Sheppard begins with a discussion of your clothing needs; e.g., do you wish for a range of business suits, casual sports jackets and trousers, hunting apparel, sports clothes or formal occasions. You will then go to a dressing room with your cutter, who will take a variety of measurements and offer you recommendations on the cut that would be most flattering to your body type. Then, within three to four weeks, you will have your first fitting. A second fitting follows an additional three weeks thereafter.
Once your master pattern is on file, as long as you retain the same body shape, you can simply call the shop and order new suits, sports coats, overcoats and other garments. You tell them the fabric you would like in the construction and, like clockwork, your finished clothing will be ready in a matter of weeks.
How Much Does an Anderson & Sheppard Bespoke Suit Cost?
An average price for a handmade bespoke two-piece suit is roughly £2,000 including the value added tax. A three-piece bespoke suit is roughly £2,300 including value added tax. (In United States dollars, this translates to $3,100 to $3,600, respectively, at current exchange rates, which fluctuate daily.) Read more »
